Abrasive blast cleaning is the optimal method for finishing the casting surface. The best results are reached with heavyweight abrasive particles, large blast nozzles, and high pressures. These create high kinetic energy for particles hitting the casting surface. For a manual blast cleaner, it is impossible to handle these three factors in day-to-day operation. Operators get fatigued and soon the quality of the surface starts to deteriorate.

 

An automatic Blastman blast cleaning robot has no problem operating in these conditions. An abrasive blast cleaning robot can handle up to two 19 mm nozzles with up to 10 bar pressure each. Additionally, all kinds of abrasives are suitable for a Blastman robot.

Blastman robot live demonstration at Gifa 2023, 12 - 16 June, Hall 15 booth E18. Gifa is the leading international trade fair for the foundry industry and takes place every fourth year in Düsseldorf, Germany.

 

Blastman Robotics Ltd is presenting the 4th generation of its innovative blasting robots. These contain Blastman Studio - offline programming software specially developed for blasting robots, which has automatic program generation from the 3D data of the component and a simulation tool for a visual representation of the blasting process.

 

The latest control systems with intuitive operation also enable the connection to the Manufacturing Execution System and the control of various Smart Blast Room functions. As a result, the blasting robots can be easily implemented in existing systems and not only carry out the blasting processing with higher quality and faster but also cheaper and more safely.
