Gantry Type Robots
A gantry-type robot covers the entire blast room volume. The main directions of the movements are longitudinal, vertical and horizontal. There can be up to 8 axes, depending on the application.
Each robot is tailored to fit the customer’s blast room. By choosing from a selection of different telescopic and joint booms, a suitable combination can be made. Single or double nozzles with a diameter of 12 – 19 mm and pressure reaching up to 10 bar can be built into the system.
Blastman B20S is a gantry type robot with telescopic and joint booms. The robot has excellent reach and it can blast clean the most complex workpieces. It can even reach inside rail cars through windows, manholes on hoppers or other holes to blast clean interior surfaces. Applications include, for example, railway rolling stock, large steel structures and castings.
Blastman B20CX is an 8-axis gantry type robot with a control cabin. The robot is designed to replace manual blasting and suits perfectly for non-serial and serial production. Automatic blast programs can be easily made by recording the manual run.
Blastman B20C-S has an additional control cabin with a separate gantry, which moves longitudinally with the robot. The cabin can be independently rotated and moved vertically to grant the operator visibility all around the blast room. From the air-conditioned, dust- and sound-proof cabin, the operator has clear sight of the workpiece when programming the robot in teaching mode or when blast cleaning individual workpieces by manual control.
Blastman B20LWS is a gantry type robot with a simpler boom structure compared to the B20S. The robot can be moved around the workpiece to cover it entirely. Applications include, for example, railway rolling stock, large steel structures and castings.
